Requirements
Navigate CMS is written in PHP language and uses a MySQL database to store the structure and contents of the websites; PHP and MySQL are free software and they are the world's most used technologies to develop online applications.
So to run Navigate CMS you need a server with a hosting account with this features:

| MySQL 5.1 or greater (also compatible with MariaDB) |
| 40 MB of disk space + the space needed for your website, extensions and themes |

Apache webserver mod_rewrite module enabled or nginx 1.2.3 or greater or LiteSpeed 5.5 or greater |
Navigate CMS has been developed using an Apache webserver and has been installed and tested using LiteSpeed servers. That does not mean it won't work in other environments and servers, but the configuration may be different and easier or harder.
If you find problems installing the software in a certain configuration, please send us a bug report with as much detail as possible. You could also contribute writing an install guide to help other people.
